1973 Mercury Cougar Scale Model Car

1/25 scale AMT/ERTL 1973 Mercury Cougar model kitDay 1 - June 2, 2007

Soon, I will begin documenting the steps I take in building an AMT/ERTL 1/25 scale 1973 Mercury Cougar plastic model kit, built as the stock version. I await arrival through the mail of the kit. I also hope to obtain a 1973 Lincoln-Mercury showroom brochure which should be helpful in building the model accurately as a stock version, which means as it was when originally manufactured with no changes, such as adding new wheels which are not the same type as when the vehicle was manufactured. I plan to win the showroom brochure through an online auction Web site very soon.

I also bookmarked via an Internet browser software program, an actual 1973 Mercury Cougar listed on an online auction Web site for possible reference in building the model. The auction Web page contains many photographs of the actual vehicle (actually, a Cougar convertible) which should be useful especially since I do not own a 1973 Mercury Cougar hardtop.

Also, I probably will purchase a book which contains photographs and other information about the 1973 Mercury Cougar for reference.
