1973 Mercury Cougar Scale Model Car

Rear Bumper and TaillightsDay 9 -
June 18, 2007

Today I adjusted the taillights which were incorrectly detailed with chrome foil on Day 8. There not done yet as I still need to add more chrome foil to an area that wasn't covered.

I also modified the pins on the front rim section where it attaches to the chassis which will allow me to turn the wheels after they are assembled. The wheels will be permanently glued turned.

I removed excess white paint from the tires where I had painted the lettering.

Also, I carefully brushed primer in the grooves where the hood meets the fenders which are a bit too deep and wide in some areas. I'm using the primer as gap filler. The recess is too deep and wide because the hood was made for opening and closing, which as I mentioned previously, has been glued closed.

I have decided to probably paint the model white with a semi-flat black simulated vinyl roof. I am considering also painting the interior a semi-flat black. I also might paint the interior white and semi-flat black.
